Abstrak
Minat baca siswa kelas V SDN 14 Pontianak Kota sangat rendah. Berdasarkan obserevasi awal, terdapat 16 siswa (64%) yang bisa membaca, 9 siswa (36%) kurang lancar. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode role playing pada materi membaca siswa kelas V SD Negeri 14 Kecamatan Pontianak Kota? (2) Mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi membaca dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran role playing di kelas V SD Negeri 14 Kecamatan Pontianak Kota? Metode penelitian yang dilakukan melalui metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi, dan dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019, yang berjumlah 25 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan testulis. Terdapat peningkatan dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2 yaitu dari 64% ke 96%, meningkat sebesar 32%. Metode bermain peran dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari meningkatnya nilai rata-rata siswa dari siklus 1 kel siklus 2 berturut – turut 72,50 dan 86,25.
Abstract
The reading interest of fifth graders at SDN 14 Pontianak Kota is very low. Based on initial observations, there are 16 students (64%) who can read, 9 students (36%) are not fluent. This study aims to (1) determine the process of implementing learning by using the role playing method on reading material for fifth graders at SD Negeri 14, Pontianak City. (2) Knowing the increase in student achievement in reading material using the role playing learning method in class V SD Negeri 14 Pontianak City District? The research method was carried out through the classroom action research method with the following stages: planning, implementation, observation, reflection, and carried out in two cycles. The research was conducted in February in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year, which consisted of 25 people. Data collection techniques using observation and written test. There was an increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2, namely from 64% to 96%, an increase of 32%. The role playing method can improve student learning achievement. This is indicated by the increase in the average score of students from cycle 1 to cycle 2, respectively 72.50 and 86.25.
