Technetium Generators: Status and Prospects

Abstract: The technetium-99m generator has experienced many improvements and changes since it was introduced to nuclear medicine in the late 1950 s. In the industrialized countries of the world, the. most common form in use today is the chromatographic generator, based on fission molybdenum-99.
