Within the current hemp cultivation technologies, the use of high-performance technical equipment is required for all applied works, and following the concerns regarding diversified and efficient ways of harvesting, INMA Bucharest has created and experimented an innovative technical equipment for harvesting and tying the stalks into sheaves. In order to demonstrate the efficiency of this equipment, the paper presents the experimental results obtained by INMA Bucharest regarding hourly fuel consumption and fuel consumption per hectare. These energetic indices are important in the evaluation of expenses per surface unit, constituting the basis of the economic efficiency evaluation. At the same time, at ARDS Secuieni, in 2021, research was carried out on the influence of the cuttings application and different sowing norms on the agro-productive capacity of the Ratza monoecious hemp variety for stalks and fibre. The obtained results constitute premises in order to optimize some technological links of cultivation at hemp for stalks and fibre, but they also confirmed the fact that fuel consumption per hectare recorded at hemp stalks harvesting was influenced both by the technical characteristics of the equipment used and by the characteristics of the experimented crop.

This paper presents the results obtained by INMA Bucharest, following a research project, in which a technology for harvesting and storing industrial hemp was developed. The equipment for harvesting green hemp stalks intended for this technology was tested in an experimental plot grown with Dacia - Secuieni hemp. Operating indices (actual torque at the power take-off, traction force at drawbar, total effective power to operate the equipment, working speed, effective working capacity) and working qualitative indices (stalk cutting height at lower knife and upper knife, degree of stalk cutting, stalk diameter, the average length of the stalk cut without inflorescence). As a result of the analysis of the values obtained for the operating indices and qualitative working indices, a series of pertinent conclusions and observations resulted, which will help guide harvesting and storage practices to ensure quality requirements for hemp fibre production are met.

The development of industrial hemp production necessitates the creation of new technical means and methods, and the refinement of technological approaches for cultivating and harvesting this crop. In Ukraine, where the hemp industry is experiencing a period of active growth, there is a particular need for technical solutions that can ensure a high-quality harvesting process and remain affordable for relatively small farms. The article discusses the efficiency of the machine that was developed and manufactured for spring harvesting of hemp stalks. The parameters of the hemp stalks windrow were considered, taking into account the factors affecting its quality. In addition, there were selected the parameters to asses the quality of the resulting windrow. The research was carried out using probability theory and statistical methods. Through experimental studies, the functionality of the developed and manufactured machine was confirmed. It was established that the machine facilitates the formation of a uniform windrow from hemp stalks, with the skew cutting angle not exceeding 17˚, which allows it to be collected with a baler, minimizing the risk of clogging.
