Abstract: The aim of this paper is to define the prevailing trends in the works presented at the biennial congresses of the Spanish Association of Communication Research (AE-IC) from its foundation in 2008 to the most recent one held in 2018. The objective is to quantify the submitted manuscripts, compare them by meetings, measure their frequency in the different sections to analyze their consolidation, and determine the central tendency or dispersion around the main topics.
