“…The use of vegetation indices (EVI -Enhanced Vegetation Index and NDVI -Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and their relationship with climate variability and large-scale events such as El Niño and La Niña (Zhang et al, 2006;Paruelo, 2008;Hermance et al, 2015) stand out, but with the definition only of the phases of start and end of growth and vegetative peak.
