Temporality Naturalized

Abstract: The Schrödinger equation for quantum mechanics, which is approachable in third-person description, takes for granted tenseless time that does not distinguish between different tenses such as past, present, and future. The time-reversal symmetry grounded upon tenseless time globally may, however, be broken once measurement in the form of exchanging indivisible quantum particles between the measured and the measuring intervenes. Measurement breaks tenseless time locally and distinguishes different tenses. Since … Show more

“…The self that is durable is constantly striving for not leaving behind any incongruent inconvenience between the supported and the supporting. What underlies the crisp enaction of self-production is the constant update of the present perfect tense in the present progressive tense for the sake of self-durability [ 16 , 17 ]. Here, the self is meant to be something durable on its own.…”

“…Here, the contemporaneous constellation is about the reaction scheme of reactants further qualified by their past histories available at the present moment of the now which should be a brief reference to being contemporaneous. The now is accordingly relational in referring to something being contemporaneous with something else, whereas the present referred to in the present tense can stand alone and remains at most as an abstraction [16].…”

“…Let us consider why a caterpillar eating a leaf can be explained in terms of the E-series with second-person negotiators instead of the A-series with first-person agents acting upon the object (Matsuno 2018). Of course, it is not wrong to view the caterpillar's biting as a single anticipatory agent acting upon a non-anticipatory object (Rosen 1985;Louie 2010); however, we propose an alternative view of the same phenomenon from an interactional/communicative standpoint.…”
