“…PDs are defined as being “stable over time,” 28 so it is possible that PD symptoms are similarly stable, which has been corroborated by recent evidence in schizotypal PD. 39 Since PDs are not typically diagnosed for young teenagers, their stability between adolescence and adulthood has not been ascertained. Some work has shown moderate stability in schizotypal PD symptoms between early (ages 11–13) and middle (ages 14–16) adolescence.…”

“…As both the SPQ and SPQ-B are intended for adults, an equivalent reliable 22-item version SPQ-C with minor modifications is available for children ( α = 0.91; [ 19 •]). The three-factor structure of schizotypy is found to be stable across time and instrument for the SPQ [ 15 ] and SPQ-B [ 20 ], international populations of psychiatric patients [ 21 24 ], community adults [ 25 27 ], and adolescents [ 19 •, 28 ] and is invariant across gender, religion, ethnicity, and social backgrounds [ 26 , 29 ]. The SPQ and its subsequent brief versions are psychometrically robust, where a higher score often reflects greater neurobiological and genetic vulnerabilities [ 30 , 31 ], thus offering researchers a tool to assess the etiology of schizotypy across development.…”

“…The SPQ-B has been used with patients and relatives of patients with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders (Compton et al, 2007;Moreno-Izco et al, 2015), adolescents (Fonseca-Pedrero et al, 2009), twins (Ericson et al, 2011), outpatients (Axelrod et al, 2001), and college students (Compton et al, 2009a;Fonseca-Pedrero et al, 2011;Mata et al, 2005;Raine and Benishay, 1995). The psychometric properties of the SPQ-B have been examined previously.…”
