It is a difficult problem for airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) to obtain the target 3D coordinate information when the highly precise elevation information is unknown. Stereo SAR detects the same area with multiple angles, so that the height of the target can be obtained by using the multi-angle imaging projection results. On the basis mentioned above, a back projection (BP) imaging model based target height inversion and coordinate correction method is studied in this paper. Mechanism of imaging error and realization of height inversion algorithm are analyzed in detail under horizontal and subduction motions, so the proposed method is flexible for application in a variety of motion states. Simulation experiments illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
