Tetrahydroxyphenyl porphyrin membrane: a high-sensitivity optical waveguide gas sensor for NO2detection

Abstract: In this study, 5,10,15,20-(4-hydroxyphenyl) porphyrin (THPP) was used as an optical waveguide (OWG) sensing material to detect several harmful acidic gases and volatile organic compounds. With this material, the sensor showed high selectivity and sensitivity to NO 2 . First, a OWG sensor based on THPP was prepared using the spin-coating method.
