“…Kaempferol also elucidated analgesic activities in acetic acid‐induced in mice at the dose of 100 mg/kg ( P < 0.01) and the inhibitory ratio was 51.6% . Moreover, Cardenas et al . reported the analgesic activity of some glycosides of kaempferol, and kaempferol 3‐ O ‐sophoroside ( 29 ) possesses significant analgesic activity in the tail clip, tail flick, tail immersion, and acetic acid‐induced writhing models (i.p.…”

“…Nicotiflorin (kaempferol-3-␤-rutinoside), a flavonoid glucoside originally derived from the flower petals of Flos Carthami, a medicinal plant traditionally used in prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and thrombosis in Chinese medicine (Siow et al, 2000), is known to have potent analgesic, anti-hypertensive and anti-anaphylactic effects. In an analgesic model of writhing syndrome in mouse, nicotiflorin was to significantly reduce the number of writhings and stretchings induced by 1% acetic acid solution at a dose of 80 and 40 mg/kg (Cardenas et al, 1993). In normotensive pentothal anaesthetized rats, intravenous administration of nicotiflorin produced a dosedependent decrease in systolic, diastolic and mean arterial blood pressure.…”

“…The isolation of other flavonoid glycosides like kaempferol-3-O-a-Lrhamnopyranosyl (1 ! 6)-b-D-glucopyranoside and kaempferol-3-O-b-D-glucopyranoside have been reported for H. bonplandianum (Cardenas et al, 1993) and from other Chloranthaceae species (Cao et al, 2008).…”
