The Anatomy of a Cryptocurrency Pump-and-Dump Scheme

Abstract: While pump-and-dump schemes have attracted the attention of cryptocurrency observers and regulators alike, this paper represents the first detailed empirical query of pumpand-dump activities in cryptocurrency markets.
