“…Expounding on our explanation above, the indirect association between CRC and IP for students attending HBCUs may be reflective of invalidating departmental and/or institutional climates that diverge from historical HBCU commitments to support Black students, which may not only create feelings of anxiety, but also subsequent devaluations of self, that contribute to IP.
