The boundary theory of a spinor field theory on the Bruhat-Tits tree

Abstract: For a spinor field theory on the Bruhat-Tits tree, we calculate the action and the partition function of its boundary theory by integrating out the interior of the Bruhat-Tits tree. We found that the boundary theory is very similar to a scalar field theory over p-adic numbers. * qufeng@itp.ac.cn

“…As in the usual AdS/CFT dictionary where computing correlation functions of a small number of operator insertions can be done by considering quantum field theories in the pure AdS background without worrying about back-reaction to the geometry, the p-adic AdS/CFT works in the same way. Witten diagrams on the BT tree have been studied extensively [3,[5][6][7][8][9][10], and the results satisfy all the expected features of the p-adic CFT [11].…”

“…The action (1) requires sgn τ (−1) = −1, otherwise it will vanish identically due to the anti-commutativity of ψ. The authors of [28,27] considered a complex ψ, that would imply having ψ * instead of one of the fields ψ in (1). This eliminates the need for including sgn τ at all, but whether or not sgn τ (−1) = −1 determines if (1) is symmetric or antisymmetric under the exchange ψ ↔ ψ * .…”

A natural question would be to JHEP09(2021)097 ask whether one can include dynamics of the background so that the bulk theory becomes an analogue of gravitational theory on AdS.…”
