“…The usefulness of HBPM in this population is particularly related to its ability to detect masked hypertension. Indeed, diabetic patients have a very high (47%) prevalence of masked hypertension, detected with HBPM, and are at a higher risk of developing brain and kidney damage [119,[165][166][167].
