“…It accounts for only a 0.29 % weight loss and, although there is not any evident simultaneous endotherm, a change of slope can be observed on the DSC curve indicating a potential hidden endotherm. It was reported that monobasic sodium phosphate produces three weight losses at 122, 210 and 343 ºC [25]. The last one, corresponding to the pyrophosphatemetaphosphate transformation, can be attributed to the 352.5 ºC LC.…”

“…Beside the weight loss caused by the removal of physically and chemically absorbed water of the uncalcined sample C, the weight loss caused by the transformation of the material composition form M(H 2 PO 4 ) 2 into M 2 P 2 O 7 and MH 2 P 2 O 7 (M=Ni, Co) in the sample C precursor could be found when the temperature up to 400 °C. When the temperature reached 500 °C, the composition of the precursor was further decomposed . No additional weight loss occurred up to 600 °C.…”

“…ACCEPTED MANUSCRIPT 11 The Raman and FT-IR bands indicated the formation of non-bridging oxygen in the Ti-O bond due to the incorporation of phosphorus in the oxide layer [53,54]. The absence of the features of PO 4 3-group in the vibrational spectroscopy measurements confirms that strongly acidic conditions promote the incorporation of P into the oxide, instead of the deposition of phosphate crystals.…”

“…Raman spectra (Fig. 5A) to the incorporation of P 5+ ions [53][54][55] into the oxide coating, promoted by the strongly acidic conditions. The band at ~ 1100 cm -1 cannot be assigned to the vibrational  3 mode of the phosphate group, and can be attributed as well to P-O-P bondings, due to P 5+ ions incorporated into the oxide nanolayer; the intensity of the former is higher for the anodized surface obtained in 1M H 3 PO 4 (Fig.…”
