The purpose of the study is to consider the concepts of "risk" and "uncertainty" in the innovative processes of the enterprise in the practic e of lean production. The objectives of the study are to identify the essence of innovation risks, to consider the conceptual apparatus of risks and decision-making in conditions of uncertainty, to consider the components of uncertainty, to give an example of uncertainty and the behavior of the company in this context. Methodology. In this study the following research methods were used: analysis of theoretical materials, synthesis and generalization of literature, as well as classification, description and comparison. Results. The classification of innovation risks is developed, the differences between such concepts as "risk" and "uncertainty" are considered, the types of uncertainty and the algorithm for assessing innovation risks and uncertainties are studied, the experience of using lean production tools, accompanied by risks and uncertainty, is considered. Conclusions. Implementing lean production in an industrial enterprise can be a challenging task. However, if risks are taken into account and adequately managed, lean production can bring significant benefits in the form of increased efficiency, reduced costs and improved quality of products or services. Uncertainty is an integral part of the innovation sphere of the economy. Companies that competently manage uncertainty and are ready to adapt to changes have a better chance of success in innovation business.

Subject. The study deals with the analysis of emerging threats, testing the internal control systems of an economic entity, development of unified methods and control procedures. Objectives. Based on identified industry risks inherent in construction activities, we focus on determining the main control methods and the procedure for their application. Methods. The study employs statistical, control and analytical research methods, computational and graphical method. Results. We identified the main macro risks inherent in the construction industry, assessed the financial and economic activities of a number of construction companies, identified the key micro risks specific to economic entities of the industry, tested the existing internal control system, which helped establish the relationship of internal control tools with the characteristics of the construction industry based on the developed working document. Furthermore, we analyzed the accounting, analytical, and methodological support for the internal control system of a particular organization. Conclusions. The presented step-by-step procedures for the analysis of the industry and a separate business entity, testing the internal control system, accounting and analytical systems of typical business entities of the construction industry enabled to formulate methodological approaches for effective functioning of internal control department of construction organizations, which will ensure continuous control of business risks.
Subject. The article focuses on a set of external and internal factors that may cause risks and threats to clusters of business entities. We also discuss methodological aspects in evaluating the economic security of the cluster. Objectives. We construct the tiered classification of external and internal threats to the economic security of the cluster, articulate its evaluation technique based on the comprehensive approach to considering possible risks and threats arising from operations of cluster components. Methods. The study is based on general and special methods, such as the generalization, synthesis and analysis of scientific findings on the economic security of organizations, including clusters of such organizations. Unfolding the comprehensive approach to evaluating the economic security of clusters, we applied some techniques and methods, such as typification, identification, rating and scoring, indicative method, general analysis techniques. Results. We commented on the existing proceedings by foreign and Russian researchers on the evaluation of the economic security of business entities and relevant issues. The article classifies external and internal threats to the economic security of the cluster and points out their levels, groups and types. We summarized and examined the existing cluster evaluation techniques. The techniques were found to overlook the complex inner design of the cluster management. Conclusions and Relevance. As a result of the study, we formulated scientific and methodological clauses that would be interesting for the cluster management and help timely detect real economic threats, predict possible ones, find how their consequences can be eliminated, decide on administrative actions and perform them so as to ensure the sustainable development and the high level of the economic security of the cluster.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
