The DIALBEST Type 2 diabetes peer counseling intervention: Process evaluation

Abstract: These analyses include 60 participants that have completed the 12 month DIALBEST intervention that includes 17 home‐based peer counseling (PC) educational sessions in the topics of nutrition, diabetes and medication management. There were 930 PC contacts with patients with an average duration of 88 minutes per contact. The majority of sessions focused on nutrition (370) followed by diabetes complications (159).
