“…there is no unified approach to their understanding. Thus, many economists have their own definition of agrarian relations: some describe them as industrial relations in agriculture [10][11][12]; some define them as economic relations emerging in agrarian production due to land ownership and its utilization (or the so-called economic and legal aspect of land relations [13]); others propose a rental approach, which is based on contemporary beliefs that agrarian relations are founded on rental relations in the agro-industrial complex [14,15]. Other works [16,17] depict agrarian and land relations as a set of relations that operate in cooperation with various elements of respective regional and global social and economic systems.…”

“…Modern formal models of structural transformation show how productivity growth in agriculture can release labor force or create demand for manufactured goods (Gurtuev et al, 2013;Nunn and Qian, 2011). At the same time, a great number of models consider the impact of agricultural productivity on industrialization in a closed economic system (Kislitsky et al, 2019;Pei et al, 2013), whereas in regions with an open economy, the comparative advantage in the agricultural sector can hamper the growth of other sectors of the economy. (Foster & Rosenzweig, 2008;Hornbeck & Keskin, 2015).…”
