“…The distortions of the output voltage depend on the design of the output filter. The output filter design was presented in (Rymarski 2009(Rymarski , 2010(Rymarski , 2011a and was based on the approach of Dahono et al 1995. The reduction of the highest amplitude of harmonics (close to f c frequency) below 3%, and THD below 5% (IEEE-519) was the assumption of the output filter L F C F product value calculation.…”

“…Considering the output voltage harmonics of the PWM inverter it can be easily proved that the harmonic with the highest amplitude before filtering has the frequency f c (f c -frequency of the modulated waveform) or f c ±f m (f m -fundamental frequency of the modulating sinusoidal signal) where f c >50f m is usual in UPS systems. The design of the output filter is based on the requirement to sufficiently suppress them (Rymarski 2009(Rymarski , 2010(Rymarski , 2011a and to minimize the reactive power in the output filter components. The IEEE-519 standard does not specify the limit of the highest order of the harmonics spectrum considered.…”

“…Power inverters are generally categorised into two main types: Voltage-source inverter (VSI) and current source inverter (CSI) (He, Sheng, Finney, Qian, & Williams, 2000;Rymarski, 2011). The output voltage always remains within the input DC voltage in the case of traditional VSI.…”

“…It is easy to design the ZSI with superlative modulation ratio fixed to the modern insignificant case. With suitable modification in the inverter shoot during time interval, any drag in energy demand is subsequently administered, which, in essence, shapes into a third state devised for enhancing voltage development in ZSI (Rymarski, 2011).…”

“…The voltage polarity of Z source capacitors in the enhanced ZSI what's left the same as the input voltage polarity; hence, the capacitor voltage polarity might be decreased to a respectable level to get the same boost voltage. The improved Z-source topology has inborn inrush-current confinement capability contrasted with the conventional ZSI, in light of the fact that there is no current path at startup [5].…”
