“…The use of microhardness tests to determine the mineral content and mechanical strength of root canal dentine is a common approach used in the literature (Yassen et al 2014, Yilmaz et al 2016, Naseri et al 2019. Vickers microhardness test (VHT) is suitable for determining the hardness of brittle materials, such as tooth structure.…”

“…The changes in the superficial dentin structure made by irrigants and ICMs can affect the potential of dentin to adhere to root canal filling materials [ 5 ]. Antibiotic pastes consistently decrease dentin microhardness, cause dentin erosion, and increase roughness [ 39 42 43 44 45 ]. However, the literature contains inconsistent results regarding the effects of CH on dentin properties within 1 month or less [ 46 ].…”

“…3 The treatment procedures involve TAP removal, followed by the placement of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), which has been shown to effectively support new hard-tissue formation in the apical areas of affected immature necrotic teeth. 4 Despite the regenerative effects of TAP, it is acidic 5 and can result in insufficient bonding to dentin 6 when it is not removed thoroughly from the root canal.…”
