The effect of consecutive applications of leaching water applied in equal, increasing or decreasing quantities on soil hydraulic conductivity of a saline sodic soil in the laboratory

Abstract: Abstract. This study investigated the effect of the same volume of leaching water applied consecutively in either equal amounts or increasing amounts or decreasing amounts on the hydraulic conductivity of a saline sodic soil in 30 cm plastic columns in the laboratory. Gypsum was mixed with the surface 2–3 cm of soil. After leaching, the hydraulic conductivity was measured in each 10 cm depth of soil.
