There is importance in revealing the factors that affect happiness at the workplace, which provides important benefits both to employees and organizations. The current study aimed at determining the effects that ethical leadership and employee voice have on happiness at the workplace. In addition, it was also aimed at revealing the mediating role of employee voice in the effect of ethical leadership on happiness at the workplace. The study was performed in İstanbul between November 1st, 2022, and October 6th, 2023, and the data were obtained from employees working at private hospitals in this province. In the study, the data were obtained from 302 employees. According to results of the study, ethical leadership positively affects employee voice. Ethical leadership and employee voice positively affect happiness at the workplace. In addition, employee voice has a mediating role in the effect of ethical leadership on happiness at the workplace. The study conclusions show that happiness at the workplace is affected by ethical leadership and employee voice. According to these conclusions, some suggestions were made to increase the perception of ethical leadership, employee voice and happiness at the workplace.

Çalışmanın amacı etik liderliğin, örgütsel özdeşleşme üzerinde etkisinin olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Liderlik tarzları, örgüt çalışanları ve onların davranışlarını yakından ilgilendiren bir parametre olarak kabul edilmektedir. Etik liderlik de son yıllarda popülerlik kazanmış bir liderlik tarzdır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada örneklem olarak Karaman ilinde faaliyetlerini sürdüren otel çalışanları seçilmiş, ilgili 156 çalışanla yüz yüze anket gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anket yoluyla toplanan veriler SPSS 27 programı vasıtasıyla analize tabi tutulmuş, verilerin normal dağıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca ölçeklerle ilgili güvenilirlik ve geçerlilik analizleri yapılmış, ilgili değerlerin oldukça yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Bu durum ölçeklerin güvenilir olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu ön şartların sağlanmasından sonra veriler analize tabi tutulmuş, betimleyici ve diğer demografik bulgular paylaşılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre etik liderlik, örgütsel özdeşleşmeyi pozitif yönde etkilemektedir. Çalışmanın literatüre daha fazla katkı sunabilmesi açısından çalışmanın konusunu oluşturan değişkenlerin demografik değişkenler açısından farlılıkları incelenmiştir. Yapılan farklılık analizleri sonucunda etik liderlik ve örgütsel özdeşleşmenin; yaşa, eğitim durumuna, çalışma yılına ve pozisyona göre farklılaşmakta olduğu bulgulanmıştır.

Sustainability means creating economic, environmental, and social growth not only in line with today’s needs but also by taking steps towards the future while considering the past. In the organizational context, sustainability means ensuring that internal and external stakeholders of the organization benefit from the values created, and also ensuring that the organizational policies and strategies are ethical. In this context, leaders who can achieve this are urgently needed. In this frame, the aim of this study is to investigate the perceptions and attitudes of textile sector employees towards sustainability in relation to their organizational leaders. As data collection tool, a survey form consisting of demographic questions and the “Sustainable Leadership Scale”, developed by McCann and Holt (2011) was prepared and delivered to the white collar employees of textile sector in Demitaş Organized Industry Zone (DOSAB) participants as both hard copies and via e-mail.
