The Effect of Friction Behaviour and Wear Protection Ability of Selected Base Lubricants on Tribo-pairs Parameters of Machine Components

Abstract: The experimental tests of selected tribo-pair in three loading cycles were compared in this paper. Tests were performed with mineral transmission oil and ecological synthetic ester base oil, which were dropping by Gravity Force through the overhead part of measuring head of the laboratory testing device. The influence of factors (load cycle, lubricant) on the bearing shells and shafts was statistically verified by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The relevant differences between average values of each specimens w… Show more

“…However, there are no schemes to control the functional copper-containing coatings at the parts' working surfaces. By their effect on a friction surface, the following additives are categorized: surface-active; chemically-active; inactive; metal-plating and plastically-deforming additives [5], etc. However, there are no any complex of technological operations to prepare them and adjust to the tribotechnology of alignment.…”

“…Until now, there are no studies on the dynamics of the process of increasing the enhancement the wear resistance of lubricating compositions with friction modifiers. Wear resistant coatings certainly have dissipative and metastable structures [31], which constantly need to be monitored and detected. However, the formation of microdimensional films in the area of friction with the help of geomodifiers was not described from the tribological point of view.…”

“…The operational properties of oils are enhanced during the introduction of additives into them and the formation of special films or coatings on the friction surfaces of parts [7]. However, it is desirable to develop a method for controlling the physical and mechanical characteristics of the parts.…”
