“…The first three hypotheses have not been explored in the literature and might also institute an abductive approach to theory development and exploration apart from a deductive approach. Concerning H 4 and the relationship between stress and spirituality, our findings reject the hypothesis, and the findings contradict previous literature (Maltby et al, 1999;Sprung et al, 2012;Bickerton et al, 2014;Papathanasiou et al, 2020), and this possibly might be attributed to the lack of connection with the community as praying remains solely an individual element.
