“…The sharp peak at 1646 cm -1 indicates that the formed -OH groups (H-O-H) [15,25]. The bands at the peak 3468 cm -1 were defined to the band group H-O-H (H 2 O molecules) [26]. In fact, the characterization of SBA-15 samples is identified with similar spectra in the mesostructure of the various synthesized of SBA-15.…”

“…It can be observed how the reflections of the SBA-100 are significantly more intense than those shown for MCF-100, which reveals that the SBA-15 presents a more ordered structure than the MCFs. Regarding this evidence, several authors (Nguyen et al, 2008;Santos et al, 2016) have pointed out that the incorporation of a swelling agent, as TMB, causes an increase of the volume occupied by the hydrophobic template in the micelle core. This gives rise to structures with larger pore size, as suggested by the shift of the (100) reflection at lower 2θ values in the case of the MCF-100; however, this also leads to a partial loss of the typical hexagonal arrangement of SBA-15.…”

“…The synthesis of the MCFs was carried out following the procedure described by Santos et al with slight modifications (Santos et al, 2016). Briefly, the template (P123) and NH 4 F were dissolved in an acid solution of HCl 1.7 molL −1 by stirring at 40 • C. After total dissolution of the template, TMB, used as pore expanding agent, was added to the mother solution dropwise.…”

“…We can compare our adsorption results with those obtained by other authors for the silica materials with pore sizes in the range of 3.9-19.2 nm. The lysozyme adsorption isotherms on SBA-15 with different pore sizes (9.8-19.2 nm) at pH = 10.6 have been reported by Santos et al [33] the adsorbed amounts were equal to 0.2 g/g (pore size 9.8 nm), 0.28 (11.7 nm), 0.47 (17.3 nm) and 0.79 (19.2 nm). In another study, MCM-41 (pore size 3.9 nm) and SBA-15 (8.8 nm) were used and LYS adsorption capacity was estimated to be 0.19 and 0.38, and 0.41 and 0.48 g/g at pH = 6 and 10.5, respectively [34].…”
