“…Although minimal empirical facts on the effectiveness of social skills training on internet addiction are provided in the available literature on addiction (Affouneh et al, 2021), this may be because internet addiction is still a relatively current issue. For instance, some studies have explored the relationship between internet addiction and behavioral issues (Chou et al, 2017;Jenaabadi & Fatehrad, 2015), while few experimental studies that have established the efficacy of social skill therapy were limited to children and adolescents (Epstein et al, 2015;Chou et al, 2017;Larose et al, 2020;Kacar & Ayaz-Alkaya, 2022).
