The creativity skill is a significant aspect in developing critical reading skills for students in the global communication era today. This study aims to develop creativity skills in critical reading through humanistic literacy learning. This research design employed research and development (R&D) with 8 stages of Borg WR's development model. The eight R&D steps are preliminary research or needs analysis, planning, development of preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, revision, main field testing, operational field testing/feasibility testing, and final product revision. The data collection technique was conducted through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and test techniques. The data analysis technique used the R&D model of Brog WR which was enforced by the R&D model of Yoshihara and illustrated by the IBM SPSS Statistic 16.0. The results of this research indicate that (1) the results of the research testing and texts development showed an increase in students' creativity skill in critical reading, critical thinking skills, and motivation; (2) humanistic literacy learning was appropriate to be used to foster and develop creativity skill in critical reading;(3) the humanistic literacy approach in critical reading was able to foster skills, problem-solving ability, and students' intrinsic motivation; and (4) creativity skill in critical reading with humanistic literacy approach could foster creativity in cognition, science, image, visual, aural, experience, and solidarity.

Abstract. The purpose of this reseacrh is to describe the process of application learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) that can improve the ability to identify intrinsic elements of fiction stories for students grade IV at State Elementary School Tunggulsari II No.179 Laweyan, Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020. This research was divided in two cycles. The subjects of this reseacrh were teacher and 30 students grade IV. Data collected techniques through observation, interviews, document analysis, and tests. Data validity through content validity, technical triangulation, and source triangulation. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive comparative techniques and qualitative data were analyzed using interactive models. This result of this research is increasing the ability to identify the intrinsic elements of fiction stories from pre-action that gets classical completeness by 13.33%, increasing in cycle I to 30%, and ending in cycle II becomes 83.33%. The conclusions in this study indicate an increase in the ability to identify intrinsic elements of fiction stories for students grade IV at State Elementary School Tunggulsari II No.179 after the implementation learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC).<pre> Keywords: CIRC, intrinsic element of fiction stories, elementary school</pre>

The digital literacy is likely playing a crucial role on the reading interest in this digital age. This study aimed to determine the influence of digital literacy on the reading interest of UIN Suska Riau students. The sample of this study comprised of 82 students of UIN Suska Riau and the data were collected using questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Path Analysis 3.0 and SPSS 21. The results showed that digital literacy had a significant influence on the reading interest of UIN Suska Riau students. This showed that the path coefficient value of the original sample estimate (beta) was positive at 0.471, and the direction of the relationship between both variables was in the quite strong category. The effect of digital literacy on the reading interest was also significant in the 2-way test (t table = 1.97) with a t-statistic value of 8.105, which was greater than the t table, and a p-value lower than alpha 5% (0.000 0.05). Overall, the results of this analysis proofed that the digital literacy positively related to the rading interest and it significantly influenced the reading interest.
