Hepatitis B virus (HBV) causes acute and chronic liver infections. The treatment of chronic HBV infection using interferon and antiviral drugs is expensive. There was a case report of a patient with chronic hepatitis B who did not receive interferon and antiviral therapy but had negative seroconversion after taking herbs.
