The Effects of the Management of Natural Energy Resources in the European Union

Abstract: This paper is devoted to the study of the impact of the management of natural energy resources on sustainable development and green growth. The object of the study is the process of management of natural energy resources. An indicator of adjusted net savings was used to estimate sustainable development. The performed comparative analysis of the adjusted net savings without subtraction and subtraction of the costs of extracting energy natural resources as a result of the synthesis shows a significant diff… Show more

“…In addition, the university participates in international and national projects and programs on sustainable development issues. The university conducts many scientific studies in energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate actions, particularly on the development of mechanisms to promote renewable energy and innovative growth (Sotnyk et al 2018;Kurbatova et al, 2020;Prokopenko et al, 2021;Klymchuk et al, 2020;Benetyte et al, 2021), the synthesis and optimization of the characteristics of thirdgeneration solar cells for solar energy (Diachenko et al, 2017;Diachenko et al, 2018;Yeromenko et al, 2018), carbon footprints and carbon efficiency (Rui et al, 2020;Voronenko et al, 2017), energy-efficient transformation (Karintseva, et al, 2021;Melnyk, et al, 2013;Hens, et al, 2018), ecological modernization of the transport system (Shkarupa, et al, 2017;Hens, et al, 2019), assessment and compensation of environmental damage (Tarkhov, 2012;Marekha, 2016;Veklych, et al, 2017;), socio-natural antientropic potential (Melnyk, 2013;, the impact of developing human capital on the quality of the environment (Sineviciene, et al, 2020), improving the quality control of energy resources of industrial enterprises to increase their energy efficiency (Matsenko & Ovcharenko, 2013) and more. .…”

“…A work of the scientists Li et al (2007) presents a comprehensive analysis of the research on the EKC concept for various types of the environmentally destructive activity. As a result, the researchers identified the following forms of the correlation between the state of the environment and the level of economic development (in parentheses there is the number of proved dependencies): monotonous growth (22), monotonous decline (20), reverse U-shaped curve (333), U-shaped curve (25), N-shaped curve (27), weak correlation (124), absence of correlation (37). In general, only 57% of studies confirm the existence of EKC in its classical form, and in 21% of the studies, the connection is very weak.…”

“…In recent decades, renewable energy (RE) has been considered as a priority area of energy sector development by many national governments . The main RE benefits include preserving fossil fuels from exhaustion, increasing countries' energy independence, and providing a transition to a low-carbon economy (Bilan et al, 2019;Horobchenko and Voronenko, 2018;Vasyllieva et al, 2019;Voronenko et al, 2017). Due to the higher cost of RE technologies in comparison to conventional ones, this industry still requires state economic support.…”
