The EPR spectrum in CdxHg1–xSe mixed crystals

Abstract: The paramagnetic resonance spectrum of divalent manganese has been measured in solid solutions of CdZHg1-,Se (0 5 z 5 0.6). A dependence of the spectroscopic splitting factor g and the hyperfine structure constant A on the composition parameter has been observed. At transition from semiconducting crystals to semi-metallic states, with inverted band etructure, the value of the gfactor clearly decreases. The parameters of the EPR spectrum and their relations to the other physical properties are discussed.
