The extended spectroscopic database for deuterated species of formamide up to 1 THz

Abstract: Context. Formamide (HCONH 2 ) is the simplest molecule with a peptide bond detected in the interstellar medium. One of the keys for understanding the mechanisms for forming formamide in massive hot cores is the comparison of the relative abundances of its deuterated isotopologues. Aims. No deuterated species of formamide have been detected to date mostly owing to the lack of laboratory spectral data, which is limited by cm-wave measurements up to 40 GHz. Therefore, we decided to extend the measurements and the… Show more

“…A list of unblended and optically thin lines used in the analysis is presented in Kutsenko et al 2013) and HNCO (Kukolich & Nelson 1971;Hocking et al 1975;Niedenhoff et al 1995;Lapinov et al 2007) come from the Cologne Database for Molecular Spectroscopy (CMDS, Müller et al 2001Müller et al , 2005, while the data for DNCO, HN 13 CO, H 15 NCO and HNC 18 O (Hocking et al 1975) are taken from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) database (Pickett et al 1998). It should be noted that there are significant differences for the predicted frequencies of the main isotopologue of NH 2 CHO between CDMS and JPL (>1 MHz).…”

“…This paper is a continuation of a series of studies conducted in PhLAM Lille (France) that are devoted to the investigations of the spectra of different isotopic species of astrophysical molecules (Demyk et al 2007;Margulès et al 2009aMargulès et al ,b, 2010Carvajal et al 2009;Tercero et al 2012;Bouchez et al 2012;Coudert et al 2012Coudert et al , 2013Richard et al 2012Richard et al , 2013Haykal et al 2013;Kutsenko et al 2013;Nguyen et al 2013). In particular, these works led to the first interstellar detection of HCOOCH 2 D (Coudert et al 2013), HCOO 13 CH 3 (Carvajal et al 2009), HCO 18 OCH 3 , HC 18 OOCH 3 (Tercero et al 2012), and CH 2 DOCH 3 (Richard et al 2013).…”
