“…Bibliometric methods can be used to research field mapping (Chen, 2017; Ferreira, 2018; Yan et al, 2010), analyse journals in a specific field, identify the most cited and influential documents, key topics, research fronts (Boyack & Klavans, 2010; Pham‐Duc et al., 2021), emerging trends (Chen, 2005; Hou et al, 2018; Wei & Zhang, 2020), indicate leading researchers and institutions, examine research networks and collaboration patterns (Kumar, 2015; Martínez‐López et al, 2018; Merigó et al, 2018), and measure the interdisciplinarity of a research area (Augustyn, 2020; Huang & Chang, 2011). “…A previous study based on a corpus of 230 papers referred to the ‘global publishing market’ by specific product (mainly books and scholarly journals) and geography (largest book markets worldwide—United States, China, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Spain—see Wischenbart, 2016, 2018; Wischenbart & Fleischhacker, 2019). An analysis of author profiles on the Scopus database and the topics of their research articles showed that the global book publishing market is an interdisciplinary research field (Augustyn, 2020). The results and data are available on the Digital Humanities Lab website at the University of Wrocław, in the Corpus 1 The Global Book Publishing Markets as an Interdisciplinary Research Field and database Sources of information regarding the global book publishing market after 2001 .…”
