“…MWCNTs@Au NCs were synthesized following the procedure illustrated in Figure 1 a. First, MWCNTs were carboxylated by concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid according to Equation (1), and the water solubility of the MWCNTs was improved by carboxylation [ 39 ]. Then, the carboxyl groups of the MWCNTs were activated by EDC and NHS, and the sulfhydryl groups were modified onto MWCNTs by amidation of the carboxyl groups with the amino groups of the β-mercaptoethylamine.…”

“…[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15] However, no matter which electrochemical method is used, it is necessary to build chiral sensing platforms with enough discrimination capability. 16 Chiral selectors play a pivotal role in the construction of chiral sensing platforms, which are usually composed of organic ligands and metal ions. 17,18 For instance, Tang et al 19 reported the synthesis of (S)-BINAP-metal complexes as a chiral selector for the enantioselective extraction of phenylglycine isomers, and the addition of tetrakis(acetonitrile)copper(I) hexafluorophosphate ([(CH 3 CN) 4 Cu]PF 6 ) not only provides cuprous ions (Cu + ) but can also enhance the extraction efficiency of the chiral selector toward phenylglycine isomers.…”

“…In the present work, the inclusion complex of MB/β-CD was used for the chiral discrimination of the isomers of electroinactive proline (Pro) and histidine (His). Because of the high conductivity and large surface area of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), 21 β-CD was first decorated with MWCNTs by van der Waals forces 22,23 to enhance the sensitivity of the chiral discrimination. Due to the competitive host–guest interaction between the isomers and the MB redox probe, the isomers of electroinactive Pro and His can be successfully discriminated based on the decreased peak currents of MB.…”
