The impact of scheduled hemodialysis on clinical-functional and morphometric ophthalmological status of patients with a terminal kidney disease

Abstract: The literature review discusses the impact of scheduled hemodialysis on the state of the anterior part of the eye, the chorioretinal complex, the central and peripheral vision. The hemodialysis procedure is accompanied by a decrease in basal tear production, quickening of the tear film break-up, and an abnormal ocular surface disease index.
