The challenges faced in organizing multicultural education in Indonesia in the current era of globalization are very complex, interrelational and interdependent. Practically whether the concepts and approaches that have been applied in educational units or institutions are still relevant to an increasingly dynamic and uncertain era. The challenges of monoculture guided by the globalization of communication and information have given rise to new ideas for the integration and adaptation of global culture. However, there are also new hopes to renew and strengthen concepts and approaches in multicultural education for the future of the implementation of education in Indonesia so that it is relevant to maximize the potential of students so that they are skilled in responding to changes that take place in a revolutionary way.

Keragaman manusia secara tersurat telah disebutkan dalam Al-Qur'an sebagai sunatullah. Keragaman memiliki potensi yang besar bagi kemajuan Indonesia, namun di sisi lain juga rentan terhadap konflik sosial dan kemasyarakatan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pemahaman dasar tentang hidup bersama dalam budaya yang berbeda. Salah satu upaya untuk mewujudkan multikulturalisme adalah pendidikan multikultural yang dipraktikkan dalam Profil Pelajar Pancasila melalui pengajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti. Artikel ini merupakan bagian dari studi kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan metode library research. Salah satu karakter yang bersesuaian dengan pendidikan multikultural dalam Profil Pelajar Pancasila adalah berkebinekaan global. Berkebinekaan global, pelajar Indonesia mempertahankan budaya luhur, lokalitas dan identitasnya, serta terbuka untuk berinteraksi dengan budaya lain sehingga menumbuhkan semangat saling menghormati dan kesempatan untuk membentuk budaya yang luhur, positif, dan tidak bertentangan dengan budaya bangsa. Elemen dan kunci keragaman global meliputi pengetahuan dan apresiasi budaya, keterampilan komunikasi lintas budaya dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain, refleksi dan tanggung jawab atas pengalaman-pengalaman keragaman. Tujuan pendidikan Islam sejalan dengan tujuan pendidikan multikultural melalui upaya perwujudan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, terkhususnya pada karakter berkebinekaan global.

This study aims to describe the internalization of multicultural valuesfor students at Manado State University. The diversity of Indonesian society is a rich gift of God. Therefore, this diversity must be managed properly in order to have a positive impact on the people of Indonesia. Differences should not be a reason for conflict in the community. One effort that can be done is to internalize multicultural valuesthrough the education process.This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach related to the process of internalizing multicultural valuesin Manado State University students, especially in the Faculty of Social Sciences as the object of research. Data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation, while data analysis is done by the process of presenting data, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the internalization of multicultural valuesis developed through learning activities in the classroom through Multicultural Education, Religious Education, and Valuesand Moral Education courses. In addition, the internalization of valuesis also carried out through student activities and interactions within the faculty and university environment.
