The Improvement of Science Learning Outcomes of Primary School Students Through the Model of POGIL- Supplemented With the Student Worksheet

Abstract: This research aimed at discovering the improvement of students' learning outcomes using the mode of POGILsupplemented with the student worksheet. This research was a quasi-experiment using post-test only control group design. The data of learning outcomes ability were obtained through test. The data were then analyzed using descriptive statistical technique and ANOVA. The results of tvalue were 7,397 and the ttable = 4,00 (with the significance level of 5%). It meant that the tvalue > ttabel; thus, it could be… Show more

“…Dhea ( 2021) states that learning using the POGIL model is considered effective in improving students' self-efficacy and mastery of concepts (Dhea Neviali et al, 2021). Aiman (2020) also said that the POGIL model could improve student learning outcomes (Aiman, 2020). The problem in this study is the self-efficacy beliefs and learning outcomes of students SMA Islam Sidoarjo in physics learning tend to be moderate to low.…”

“…The use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model will be more effective if it is supported using learning media in the form of video media because, with video media, students are directly faced with problems without imagining them (Dita et al, 2021), (Putranta & Wilujeng, 2019). According to Aiman (2020), Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a learning model that uses real world problems as a context for students to learn about critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, according to Awang & Ramly (2008), Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centered learning model for learning, participating, and facing problem solving in small groups in learning.…”
