The influence of complex drug cocarnit on the nerve conduction velocity in nerve tibialis of rats with diabetic polyneuropathy

Abstract: We have analysed the influence of complex drug cocarnit (20 mg nicotinamide, 50 mg cocarboxylase, 0.5 mg cyanocobalamin, 10 mg disodium adenosine triphosphate trihydrate) on the nerve conduction velocity in nervus tibialis of rats with diabetic polyneuropathy. Our data shows that diabetic polyneuropathy leads to dysfunction of signal conduction to the effector. Administration of complex drug cocarnit showed linear dose-dependent therapeutic effect on pathology. After 9 d course administration in rats with diab… Show more

“…Stimulation of the efferents was performed by electric impulses with a frequency of 1 to 50 Hz, and the duration of each pulse was 2 ms, formed by using a pulse generator. A control of the external load on the muscle was carried out with the help of an original mechanical stimulator [44]. In the process of analyzing the obtained results, the next parameter was used, namely the integrated muscle power (calculated area under the force curve), which is an indicator of the general performance of the muscle with the applied stimulation pools.…”

“…The dynamic properties of muscle contraction were studied under conditions of muscle activation using the method of modulated efferent stimulation [34]. Fatigue was induced by successive stimulation impulses with a frequency of 50 Hz and a duration of 5 s each, without a relaxation period between them.…”

“…We compared antioxidant enzymes isolated from the blood of the studied animals and the tissues of the muscle subjected to stimulation fatigue. Inflammatory processes occurring immediately after the onset of fatigue in skeletal muscle are a source of ROS and contribute to the intensification of LPO processes [34,35]. This interferes with the adequate performance of muscle work and significantly increases the recovery period.…”

“…Для підготовки до модульованої стимуляції еферентів перерізали вентральні корінці безпосередньо в місцях їхнього виходу зі спинного мозку. Силу скорочення м'яза вимірювали за допомогою ориґінальних тензодатчиків, розташованих у задній частині мікропіпетки, до передньої частини якої приєднували сухожилок досліджуваного м'яза [23]. Для формування стимулювальних сиґналів використовували програмовані ґенератори сиґналів спеціяльної форми [24].…”
