The Informing of Adult Education by Adult Development

Abstract: Theory‐building and research conducted in the field of human development can inform the process of adult education. Three broad perspectives of human development—stage theory, phasic approaches, and the combination of the two—are discussed in terms of the insight they can bring to the field of adult education.
