A meta-analysis of data from 6 randomized placebo-controlled trials found that acetaminophen was safe and effective for the management of osteoarthritis pain; however, pain relief, clinical response rates, and health status were better with NSAIDs (including ibuprofen, diclofenac, rofecoxib, celecoxib, and naproxen) than with acetaminophen, and more patients preferred NSAIDs over acetaminophen.…”
