Waste is still a problem in major cities in Indonesia. The high production of waste is not proportional to the availability of the landfill (TPA). The land use plans for waste landfill by local governments have conflict potential between government and community when such infrastructure facilities are not desired by the community. Environmental conflicts/disputes can be resolved through mediation mechanisms. This research uses linear regression modeling system to see the correlation between the amount of waste volume generated with the availability of landfill (TPA) in Central Java Province. The results showed the greater the number of residents the greater the volume of waste generated. In contrast the number of available landfill (TPA) is not affected by the volume of waste because the regression coefficient is only 0.0256.

This article aims to explore the Optimization of Public Green Open Spaces as an Effort to Preserve the Environment in Klungkung Regency, Bali. The research in this article will use normative legal research methods with an analytical and descriptive nature. The study found that Optimizing the amount of green open space is very important for the surrounding environment and public health. Several factors cause obstacles in arranging green open spaces in Klungkung City. One of them is the limited ability of the Klungkung City Government to obtain green available space land. In addition, limited funds are also a factor affecting the Klungkung City Government’s ability to open green spaces. In addition, the lack of comprehensive planning from the Klungkung City Government in managing the available land to be used as green open space is also an obstacle. Collaborative efforts among government, communities, and the private sector are essential for successful implementation. The application of this approach contributes to the overall improvement and preservation of the environment, leading to a more sustainable future.

The research in this article will use normative legal research methods with an analytical and descriptive nature. This article concludes that the land consolidation process based on environmental conservation and urban spatial planning law offers a holistic approach to promoting sustainable development. By integrating conservation practices and adhering to urban spatial regulations, the process ensures the preservation of natural resources, controlled urban expansion, sustainable infrastructure development, efficient land utilization, and the conservation of cultural heritage. Collaborative efforts among government, communities, and the private sector are essential for successful implementation.
