The motivation achievement and its relation to the concept of personal self and academic self among the 10th grade students in the directorate of education governorate of Aqaba

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the motivation achievement and its relation to the selfconcept and the academic self among the ninth-grade students in the Directorate of Education in the Governorate of Aqaba. To achieve this, the study was conducted on a sample of 1800 student for the 2017/2018 academic year. In this study, the researcher used the descriptive method to identify the motivation achievement and its relation to the self-concept. The results showed a statistically significant correlation between achievement motivation and personal self-concept among the ninth-grade students. Between the motivation achievement and the academic self-concept among the ninthgrade students. Based on the results of this study, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the reinforcement of the different curricula in the various activities that encourage self-concept and search for the best ways to contribute to its development. Provide guidance and guidelines to students who suffer from a low level of achievement motivation and introduce them to ways to increase them.
