The nature of the interaction of RE(NO3)3 (yttrium subgroup) with HF or NH4F

Abstract: The nature of the interaction of RE(NO 3 ) 3 of the yttrium subgroup with fluorinating agents (HF and NH 4 F) is considered. Depending on the pH of the solution as well as the fluorinating agent, it was found that compounds with the compositions of REF 3 (using HF), (H 3 O)RE 3 F 10 (NH 4 F, pH 0-2), NH 4 RE 3 F 10 (NH 4 F, pH 3), and NH 4 RE 2 F 7 (NH 4 F, pH 4) can be obtained by precip-itation.
