The new era of Digital transformation will Destroy many tasks and will create new owns, only certain tasks will depend on human skills which was defined by Carl Benedikt Frey and Michael A. Osborne, 2013 in which they called it, the “Engineering-Bottlenecks. Other tasks also defined by Katharina Dengler, Britta Matthes and Wiebke Paulus, 2014 in which they use the assignment of activities explained by Alexandra Spitz-Oener for non-automatable tasks and categorize them as: analytical non-routine tasks, interactive non-routine tasks. To mitigate the Risk of Automation and AI, there is a need for Upskilling and Reskilling the current workforce to perform the un-automatable tasks, created from the development of new products and services as well as performing new complementary tasks created to support the new automated systems. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the current Reskilling and Upskilling activities are organized in the right track to fill in the new created jobs, and whether they are making use of COVID-19, which gave a surplus of time by WFH and cutting the transportation time. The conclusion of this research is 38% of the existing tasks, is under the risk of automation and 51% of the employees more than 40% of their current tasks are subject to automation. COVID-19 through WFH can provide more time for learning and development.  Reskilling and Upskilling of the current workforce will not be effective unless it is correlated with the new created jobs from introducing new products and services or complementary jobs for newly introduced automated systems as the new created jobs are mainly SW developers. The quantitative method used in this research is based on survey through questionnaires to a probability sample for 100 Engineers working in a technical department in Mobile Operator, and the Qualitative method is based on Structured interviews with a non-probability sample of Technology Managers, as Judgmental Sampling.

Corona Virus Disease COVID-19 has significantly impacted the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Production Efficiency in pharmaceutical facilities is questionable to withstand the drastic conditions under which the drug manufacturing supply chains are. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a primary indicator of efficiency. The aim of this review is to demonstrate a comprehensive overview on the factors impacting OEE and how they are affected by COVID-19. This review was done on a multinational pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Egypt. In order to better understand the business model under study and have clearer vision on the impact of COVID-19 on each aspect of it, the business anatomy model ‘9 Elements’ by Elsafty (2018) was used. The time horizon of this study is 2020 to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the pharmaceutical manufacturing performance. The pandemic led to increase the pharmaceutical products demand which subsequently put a pressure on supply planners to alter the production scheduling. COVID-19 unraveled the weaknesses in the supply chains and the overreliance on materials suppliers of one source. This had a direct impact on the supply of materials and spare parts. Production efficiency has also been impacted by the health conditions of workers and operators might been community infected. Lack of high-skilled workers leads to decrease in the productivity due to the inability to manage and solve problems the right way and independently. Materials and finished goods quality are questionable in such situation. Introduction of counterfeit and falsified materials is a predictable side effect. It is concluded that OEE is affected by COVID-19 that moderates the inputs of OEE; availability, performance and quality. The pandemic has an impact (positive or negative) on the top losses of a machine efficiency.

During 2020, in the time of the COVID-19 during and after lockdown. Governments are imposing lockdown and shutdown for all activities/services inside the country to reduce the spread of the previously mentioned pandemic including international flights. Major factories and manufacturers had stopped for months during the pandemic which led to having thousands of people with no salaries. Major companies resorted to work from home procedures whenever they can to keep the business going. This research will focus on the Online buying intention that eventually leads to buying behavior of Ready-made Garments in Egypt over the internet and social media, such as Facebook and Instagram to be specific. Readymade garment industry has started booming with the spread of e-commerce, especially with the influence of social media. Paper focuses on the area of greater Cairo and its resident customer segment of readymade garments, focusing on middle and upper social with minimum college education, who are also well-enabled with the needed resources to purchase products via the Internet. The primary data was collected through Customer Interviews that were conducted through online questionnaires that resulted in the observation of COVID-19 as a catalyst for online shopping intention as a determinant of behavior since 32.5 % of the respondents increased their buying frequency during the lockdown. The secondary data was collected through the review of previous researches, models and cases. Although the Online Buying Behavior is relatively a new phenomenon, the Buying behavior is quite rich with theories, a theoretical framework was proposed for the study of the online buying intention as a determinant of behavior that is based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by Davis (1989) and 2 variables from Nayyar & Gupta (2011) along with 2 moderating variables which are eWOM & Psychological Factors and a mediating variable which is COVID-19.
