The introduction of the report has mentioned the aim of this research. As per the introductory part, the aim of this research paper is to examine the role of Human Resources Management (HRM) towards the employees as far as curbing the adverse impact of Covid-19 is concerned. The Literature Review has mentioned the theories of motivation that impacts on the retention level of the employees, along with the studies conducted in the same domain. Some of the studies have been included in which strategies of the companies have mentioned to curb the negative impacts of Covid-19. The quantitative method has been utilized for the same research in which a total of 140 respondents have been selected on the scale of non-probability sampling. Descriptive Statistics and Correlation are the statistical metrics used for the same purpose. From the analysis, it is found that HR managers should play their role in maximizing the satisfaction level of their employees, and the major elements are mentioned in the analysis part. Workplace Guidelines & Support and Access to Information and Financial benefits are some of the main elements that should have been considered by the entities for maximizing their income potential and values accordingly.
Over the past decades, Learning & Development has become an area of growing interest and constant research. As a result, there is an abundance of studies and models that target the development of educators. However, the professional development of educators should be built on a comprehensive framework of research-based instructional strategies that help train them on how to understand, experience, practice and leave a sustainable impact on learners. This paper presents our own "FIRST Framework", a holistic framework designed on the basis of renown models and theories, such as: experiential learning; Gamification and game-based learning; facilitative learning, 6Ds model, positive psychology, experience economy and neuroscience. It is an engaging framework that helps educators bridge theory and practice to create high-quality learning environment in their classrooms. FIRST Framework consists of 5 domains with 15 principles that help leave sustainable impact on learners through promoting Active Deep Learner Experience.
Standalone electronic personal health record can be a useful tool that enables individuals to store, arrange and share their health information easily and they can build a history of their health timeline which is crucial for raising healthcare quality and better self-management, the adoption rate of these applications has been identified in several countries to be low and slowly progressing.Although there are some applications of standalone ePHR available in the market for usage free of charge but it’s almost not adopted at all, this study will investigate some of the factors that might affect the adoption of ePHR technology by adults in Egypt and provide business professionals a better picture for what can motivate or hinder the adoption process to achieve better adoption rates and eliminate the barriers. In order to ensure a comprehensive contextual analysis, researchers analyzed the research in hand with the perspective of the proposed contextual framework, the Nine Elements Framework/Model (Elsafty, 2018) that analyzes social studies research in general, and business/management reseaerches as well.Using the nine elements framework, the authors used it to discover the underlying factors that are causing the problems faced by the research in hand, and resulted in the coming contextual analysis defining the research scope and focus, which in the case of this paper is on Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were adapted from TAM that was initially developed by Fred Davis (1989) and they proved to have a high predictive power of behavioral intention in CHI context, The extensions of TAM including UTAUT & UTAUT2 seems to be irrelevant to this research context since UTAUT is more oriented towards the organizational context (Venkatesh et al., 2012) and UTAUT2 added factors, Price value seems to be irrelevant in this research context as we are already studying platforms that are provided free of charge, Hedonic motivation maybe irrelevant to this context as healthcare related service is mostly associated with seriousness and urgency, also testing unimplemented platforms that are not yet adopted makes from the habit unrealistic experience that may be inaccurate to measure.Since other several researches recommended extending these factors with other additional factors to make it more relevant to the healthcare consumer context (Kim & Park, 2012), these factors may include health-related factors, technology-related factors and personal-related factors. Findings in this research revealed that adoption rate in Egypt is still very low and high demand for this service which makes this research is significant as it’s trying to find out the reasons behind this gap, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, (privacy and security), eHealth literacy, personalization and awareness had a significant impact on behavioral intention to use standalone ePHR applications. Personalization was found to have the strongest effect on behavioral intention followed by perceived usefulness. Health status was found to have an insignificant effect on behavioral intention which indicates the interest of people with different health statuses in standalone ePHR.
A fear from Technological Advances mainly automation and artificial intelligence (AI) has been raised since the beginning of the 21st century, that machines will eliminate human beings performing certain tasks. Several models were developed to measure the effect of the Automation & AI on the employment and was applied on several countries. The first model was developed by Carl Benedikt Frey and Michael A. Osborne was called An Occupation-Based Approach, 2013. In which they define several tasks and call it “Engineering-Bottlenecks”. Katharina Dengler, Britta Matthes and Wiebke Paulus, 2014 made The Occupational Tasks model in which they use the assignment of activities explained by Alexandra Spitz-Oener and categorize the non-automatable tasks as: analytical non-routine tasks, interactive non-routine tasks. The last model was A-Task Based Approach by Melanie Arntz, Terry Gregory, 2016 in which they argue that FO Model Ignore that, the occupations consist of many tasks, part of them can be automated and another part cannot be. These models were applied on the level of the countries but not on corporate levels. The purpose of this paper is to combine the above three models and applying them on the Mobile operators in Egypt to determine the effect of Automation and AI on the Employment there, taking into consideration the incremental risk from COVID-19 which influenced the humanity. The conclusion of this research is that 41% of the staff working in the Technology field on the mobile operators, their jobs are subject to automation and COVID-19 will make an incremental Risk of 8%, due to creation of efficiency on performing the un-automatable tasks from home through digital platforms.
The purpose of this paper is to outline the structure of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, as well as to investigate the role of adopting an excellence framework in developing public sector work nature and improving public services, as well as to attempt to identify and propose solutions to the practical problems and challenges posed by excellence awards. The paper will highlight and investigate critical success factors (CSFs) that influence the success of the excellence model's implementation and adoption in the Egyptian public sector. A qualitative method will be used to build a model for CSF.The paper has summarized potential CSF that has been analyzed in previous literature that developed different models with different methodologies according to industry context. The majority of literature has discussed and analyzed CSF regarding TQM principles, with very little literature having discovered CSF of Excellence Models. The paper uses a qualitative narrative approach for an exploratory purpose. The data has been collected and analyzed using human interactive data sources by using unstructured interviews with experts in excellence from Egypt and other countries that have a similar context to EGEA.The results have shown that the main top five CSF, which are considered the main factors that will help any public organization in Egypt to successfully implement excellence models, are leadership, human assets, culture, excellence model, and performance management system.
