The Optimization Algorithm of the Forced Current Cathodic Protection Base on Simulated Annealing

Abstract: The grounding grid of a substation is important for the safety of substation equipment. Especially to address the difficulty of parameter design in the auxiliary anode system of a grounding grid, an algorithm is proposed that is an optimization algorithm for the auxiliary anode system of a grounding grid based on improved simulated annealing. The mathematical model of the auxiliary anode system is inferred from the mathematical model of cathodic protection. On that basis, the parameters of the finite element m… Show more

“…When the PSO algorithm is used to a complicated multi-dimensional situation, it becomes difficult to escape the local optima and achieve the global optima due to specific restrictions. The SA method is used to solve the grounding design parameters issue in [ 9 , 23 ]. However, it has a slow convergence speed and parallel computing is challenging.…”

“…For example, HGA can be used in developing of control schemes for small power systems with high-penetration wind farms [70] or in the thermal fatigue failure prediction of microelectronic chips [71]. In addition to the aforementioned research papers, in the literature, several other optimization algorithms used in energy and other practical applications can be found [72,73].…”
