A systematic increase in the level of physical fitness, stress resistance, and social adaptation of young people is an important task of modern society. Its solution helps to improve the health of the younger generation and increase its labor potential. This is especially true for a wide range of modern young people with a low level of physical development and various chronic diseases. A stable increase in motor activity stimulates the adaptive and regulatory capabilities of all internal organs and forms the basis of socially responsible behavior in students. As a result of increased physical activity, the functions of the cardiovascular, respiratory and musculoskeletal systems increase, and the body's sensitivity to emotional and physical overload decreases. In addition, regular exercise increases a person's social contacts, creativity, and quality of life. Regular football, volleyball, and basketball activities significantly improve the quality of life of youth students. As a result of playing sports, they increase the level of physical fitness, stress resistance, and the degree of socialization. Analyzing the data obtained, it can be argued that amateur sports develop the physical qualities of students, strengthen their psychological characteristics and contribute to their fuller inclusion in society.

Possibilities of Handball Practice in Strengthening Heart Function in University Students

Systematic handball training stimulates the entire body and especially the heart. To improve the methods of practicing handball, it is necessary to further study the aspects of adapting the heart of young handball players to regular training. The study aims to find out the dynamics of the functional capabilities of the heart in youth handball players. The observation was carried out on 25 completely healthy youth handball players with at least 2 years of sports training experience. The control group included 24 healthy young men who did not go in for sports during their life. In all cases, the study was carried out on an SSD-80 "Aloka" ultrasound device (Japan), finding out several indicators of heart function. Statistical processing of all the results of the study was performed using the Student's t-test. The phenomena of mild hypertrophy of the wall of the left ventricle were revealed in young handball players. This was indicated by an increase in the thickness of the muscle of the posterior wall and an increase in the mass of the left ventricle of the heart myocardium. In all handball players, the volume of the left cardiac ventricle was optimal. They are also characterized by a high rate of diastole realization when compared with young men in the control group. Systematic handball exercises strengthen the entire body. Handball promotes the growth of muscle mass in the wall of the left ventricle, which significantly increases its ability to work and stimulates blood supply to the whole body.

Possibilities of Students' Health Improvement through Physical Training in the Aquatic Environment

Regular execution of movements while in the aquatic environment, ensuring the swimming process, heals the entire body. As a result of regular swimming, many positive changes occur in human tissues. As a result of systematic swimming training, a functional improvement of all human internal organs occurs. Frequent swimming training improves health and enhances the severity of physical and mental performance. Swimming strengthens the heart, improves vascular function, trains skeletal muscles, activates immunity, stimulates the breathing process, neutralizes most of the effects of stress, and tones all body tissues. Swimming is considered as a dosed physical activity that forms a stable positive emotional background and leads to the recovery of the whole organism. In the central nervous system, during the performance of motor actions in the aquatic environment, a more pronounced intensification of life processes occurs than during the performance of physical exercises on land. This effect is possible due to the stimulation of skin receptors with water. Private swimming training stimulates the autonomic nervous system. Swimming weakens the activity of its sympathetic part and increases the biological capabilities of its parasympathetic component. This contributes to the normalization of peripheral vascular tone, optimizes heart rate, lowers blood pressure, stimulates gas exchange processes, contributing to an increase in oxygen content in the blood, and intensifies metabolism in all cells.
