The Potency of Lactobacillus fermentum and Moringa oleifera Extract with different Fermentation Time to improve the Nutrient content of Fermented Rice Bran

Abstract: The aim of the study was to evaluate Lactobacillus fermentum (L.fermentum) and Moringa oleifera (M.oleifera) extract for the future development synbiotic to improve the nutrient content of rice bran fermented products to support health. The treatments are divided into 7 treatments: 1:control (without probiotic and without M.oleifera extract); 2:(1% L. fermentum); 3:(1% L. fermentum + 1% M.oleifera extract); 4:(1% L. fermentum + 2% M.oleifera extract); 5:(2% L. fermentum; 6:(2% L. fermentum + 1% M.oleifera extr… Show more

“…Table-3 lists the average feed efficiency (%) with additional probiotics and acidifiers on late-laying quails. These results are in accordance with [ 12 ] research that probiotics ( L. acidophilus , L. casei , Lactococcus lactis , and Bifidobacterium spp.) give positive results on production performance (body weight gain, body weight, feed consumption, feed efficiency, and feed conversion ratio), carcass production (carcass weight and percentage), and mortality in Peking ducks.…”

“…with 1.2 × 10 9 concentration colony-forming units/mL showed positive results on growth performance (body weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, carcass weight, and breast meat weight). Probiotics can increase broiler body weight and improve feed conversion ratio associated with increased feed efficiency [ 37 ], livestock growth performance, and feed efficiency [ 12 , 21 ].…”

“…In a study by Anudeep and Radha [9], Moringa oleifera leaf extracts contained oligosaccharides. Fructooligosaccharides and malto-oligosaccharides also have a significant effect of stimulating the growth of BAL organisms [12].…”

“…is one of the plants with high carbohydrate concentration. The total carbohydrate concentration in the ethanol extract is 42%, consisting of monosaccharides, disaccharides, and oligosaccharides, i.e., gut micro-flora nutrient [9]. Phytochemical compounds in Moringa oleifera are glycosides, triterpenes, flavonoids, luteolin, quercetin, tannins [10], also has proteins, fats, fibers, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, iron, vitamins, and essential amino acids [11].…”
