The prevalence of depressive and anxiety disorders in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease in the general medical network, taking into account concomitant pathology

Abstract: The aim of this work is to assess the prevalence and risk factors of depression in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and patients with GERD and hypothyroidism. The survey was conducted in 124 adult patients. The Beck and Spielberger-Khanin scales were used to diagnose depression and anxiety. The prevalence of current depression was 29.4 % in patients with GERD and 60.0 % in patients with GERD and hypothyroidism.
