“…While satisfaction is a highly subjective and complex term influenced by various psychological factors, Karamova andAlikberora (2019:1292) defined this term as "a short-term attitude resulting from an evaluation of students' educational experience, services and facilities". Due to the importance of the issue, numerous studies have been carried out on international students' satisfaction levels by various researchers using either qualitative or quantitative methods (Alemu & Cordier, 2017;Henning & Tanabe, 2018;Jiang, Yuen & Horta, 2020;Khan & Hague, 2018;Korobova & Starobin, 2015;Khosravi, Poshaneh, Rouzegar & Sohrabifard, 2013;Ngamkamollert & Ruangkanjanases, 2015;Polat, 2015;Qiting & Qianqian, 2016;Sanal & Takır, 2021;Uddin, Mamun, Soumana & Khan, 2017;Yu & Wright, 2015;). However, our study differs from others in its exploration of the factors influencing international students' satisfaction levels using CHAID analysis, a quantitative method.…”

“…There are many factors that can be attributed to the attrition and retention rate of students in universities, student satisfaction could be said to be one of the outcomes of retention. Student satisfaction could include many factors like quality of teaching, student support services available, extracurricular activities and scholarships (Collins et al, 2021). Having said that, changes during the pandemic have changed the dynamics of student expectation slightly tilting towards teaching and learning considering the lack of other factors to influence, for example, setting clear expectations of the course which focuses on work quality of lecturers, knowledge sharing, work effectiveness, efficiency and productivity shown by lecturers during the trying times to communicate effectively (Barhoumi et al, 2022; Kazemian and Grant, 2022).…”
