East Java is a province that has a major influence on national GDP, therefore it is necessary to know which economic sectors can survive and be redeveloped so that the economy of East Java can return to stability as it was before the Covid-19 pandemic occurred. This research approach is a quantative research. This research uses variables, namely the economic sector. The location to carry out this research is East Java Province. The data collection methods used are documentation and literature studies. The data analysis techniques used are Location Quotient (LQ) and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ). There are 5 economic sectors in East Java that are included in the base sector or leading sectors at the time before the Covid-19 pandemic (2016-2019) and during the Covid-19 pandemic (2020) based on the results of the location quotient analysis. Meanwhile, based on the results of the dynamic location quotient analysis, it is known that there are 9 economic sectors in East Java Province in the 2016-2020 period which are potential sectors to be developed.

This research delves into the influence of discount strategies on consumer ratings within the e-commerce landscape, particularly on Amazon. A logistic regression model assessed how discount percentages and product categories affect consumer ratings. The study followed a rigorous methodology, beginning with comprehensive data collection across diverse product categories on Amazon. This was succeeded by a detailed exploratory data analysis (EDA), data preprocessing, and subsequent model building. The model was then subjected to an extensive evaluation process, encompassing accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC metrics. The evaluation revealed that the model achieved an accuracy of 74.94%, a precision of 72.69%, and a recall of 74.94%. The F1 score was calculated at 69.26%, and the ROC-AUC score was notably 78.24%. These metrics underscore the model's capability to accurately predict consumer ratings influenced by discount strategies. Key findings highlighted the significant predictive power of discount percentages and specific product categories, particularly 'Home & Kitchen', suggesting a complex relationship between discounts, product types, and consumer responses. Theoretically, the study enriches the understanding of consumer behavior in e-commerce, highlighting the nuanced impact of discount strategies on consumer satisfaction, especially in online retail contexts. For e-commerce businesses and marketers, the findings underscore the importance of strategically employing discount strategies and tailoring marketing approaches to specific product categories. This study emphasizes managing customer expectations and maintaining product quality alongside discounts. This research provides valuable insights for optimizing e-commerce strategies and paves the way for future investigations. It opens up avenues for further exploration into factors like product quality, brand reputation, shipping times, and the potential of consumer segmentation and sentiment analysis in enhancing marketing effectiveness. The study marks a significant contribution to the field by linking discount strategies with consumer ratings, using advanced data analytics to inform e-commerce practices in the digital age.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the simultaneous spatial relationship between economic growth and e-commerce as well as the spillover effect between the two variables in East Java at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. To answer the research objectives, spatial simultaneous modeling is used with the Spatial Autoregressive Generalized Spatial Three Model. Stage Least Square (SAR-GS3SLS) using rook contiguity. Based on the results of the SAR-GS3SLS, it can be concluded that at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 in East Java, economic growth and e-commerce were simultaneously spatially interconnected. Variables that affect East Java's economic growth are e-commerce activities, the number of villages that have Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) and the spatial lag of economic growth (ρ1) while the open unemployment rate (TPT) and the Gini ratio have no significant effect on growth. economy. Variables that affect e-commerce are economic growth, internet banking users, percentage of population who have cellphones, number of millennials, number of villages that have ATMs and spatial lag of e-commerce (ρ2) while the number of villages with 4G/LTE signals has no effect on e-commerce. commerce. Regencies/cities that provide the highest spillover of economic growth and e-commerce in East Java are Malang, Mojokerto and Madiun Regencies. The three districts were able to provide a positive net spillover.
